Kenya Association of Library and Information Professionals (KLA), formerly Kenya Library Association is a national professional association whose origin dates as far back as 1956 when the east African Library Association (EALA) was founded in Nairobi, Kenya, during the British colonial period. KLA was officially registered in 1973 after the dissolution of the EALA.
